The minute I saw the J.A.C.H.S booth at Project New York, my eyes lit up. Not only are they casual men's shirts with great details (look at those pockets! that stitching!), but they each come with their OWN BANDANA. Yes, you read that correctly, for their Fall 2012 line, you get a bandana with the shirt (more after the jump).
I don't know about you, but I have a thing for bandanas. They speak to the rugged aesthetic of Americana, say, an 1800s cowboy or gold miner. If you've followed this blog for some time now, you know I'm really into that look and the clothes that fit it while lasting and getting cooler-looking for wear. Yes, I love fancy clothes (hence the Nanette post earlier today), but I also like to mix the dressed-up and the casual. Even though these are men's shirts, I kind of think one would look great on a woman in leggings or even a cool skirt...maybe even over a light white sundress for summer (why is it not summer yet, in other news?).
Also, if the J.A.C.H.S associate was to be believed (and he was such a nice guy, so I can't see why he'd lie to me), they're coming out with a women's line soon called J.A.C.H.S' Girlfriend. Can you even imagine how excited this makes me!? It's what casual women's wear needs: well-made, rugged-looking clothes that don't make us girls look like our clothes never fit (a pitfall of borrowing from the boys).
Aren't the mismatched patterns of the bandana and the shirts to die for?
