This song is one of my favorites to put on in the summer, driving along a dusty back road in Maine with the windows down. Therefore, I thought it would be a good reminder (at least for me) when in the throes of winter bleakness that those days do exist (song after the jump).
"Yellow is the Color," by Scottish folk singer Donovan (a gem from the 60s), has also been a nice song to listen to this Monday because aside from some winter blues, I always feel a bit lonely as I come down from the highs of a visit to New York. I love both NYC and the more quiet Boston scene, but I definitely feel a difference and need a few days to get used to my daily routine again. So thanks, Donovan, for making me smile when I was looking for a reason to.
